In-person, Hands On - Critical Care Review Course
Dates for Fall Course: October 1-2, 2025
Location: Winchester, VA : Frederick County Training Center (860 Smithfield Ave, Winchester, VA)
Attend our In-person, IBSC approved review course. Completion of this course will satisfy the 16 hour approved review course requirement for both the Flight Paramedic Certification (FP-C®) and the Critical Care Paramedic Certification (CCP-C®).
This course is an inclusive hands on skills program where we put the latest evidence based medicine into challenging scenarios to enhance learning and increase retention of the material. With limited didactic training and exceptionally realistic scenarios the course is designed to push you outside of your comfort zone and really increase your knowledge and understanding of critical care medicine. Whether you are already working within the critical care arena or you are looking to enhance your knowledge as you prepare for a flight paramedic or nurse interview - this course is for you!
Course Content Includes: Scenarios that reinforce key topic areas — Flight Physiology, Aircraft Fundamentals, Ambulance Operations, Crew Resource Management, Advanced Medical Conditions and Diagnosis, Hemodynamics, Shock, Environmental and Toxicology, Obstetrical Emergencies, Pediatric and Neonatal Emergencies, Traumatic Emergencies, Ultrasound, Respiratory Disorders, Ventilatory Management, Difficult Airway, Chest Tube Insertion, Central Line Placement, IABP, ECMO, and Cardiovascular Emergencies, Neurological Emergencies, Bioethics, and Research.

Continuing education hours: You will receive 16 hours of critical care continuing education for those that attend 100% of the class. A course completion certificate will be provided upon completion of the course, and emailed to you as a pdf file within 7 days of completing the course.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICS AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR In-Person/INTERACTIVE COURSES
Items to bring with you to class:
Open mind and excited to try new things
Clothes that you can crawl, walk, bend in and get dirty
Must wear closed toed shoes
Water bottle, water will be provided in the kitchen. Students are welcome to make coffee if they choose.
We will do a class picture and you are welcome to participate but not required.
