Continuing Education Hours Policy
We award continuing education for hours attended in-person or online LIVE instruction. Our courses are approved with the Virginia Office of EMS for continuing education. CE hours can be applied to re-certify your National Registry certification, your Virginia Paramedic certification and/or your BCCTPC FP-C or CCP-C certification.
Live instruction: CE hours will be awarded within 14 days of the course completing. In order to receive CE hours you must attend in-person, your ID will be verified day 1 of the program. You must sign BOTH the sign in and sign out form for each course day. It is your responsibility to assure you signed the attendance forms each day. Failure to sign the forms results in the forfeiture of CE hours for the course day and refunds are not available. You must also complete the course survey by the deadline or CE hours will not be awarded.
Online LIVE instruction: CE hours will be awarded within 30 days after the course completing. Requirements for online CE hours to be provided include the following: You must attend the program LIVE online and share your video during the entire course. You must interact with polls, breakout sessions, classroom chat boxes, download appropriate handouts, and participate with questions and answers during the main sessions. Additionally, you must assure the course is the focus of your internet activity. Navigation to other webpages, outside of links provided during the course, result in forfeiture of CE hours for the course day. You must complete the daily survey within 12 hours of the class ending. You must also complete the final course survey by the deadline. Failure to complete anything listed above will result in CE hours not be awarded. You are not able to skip completing all the class surveys and request to complete them after the course ends and the deadline has passed, in order to earn the CE hours.
Continuing Education Certificates: If you currently hold a critical care certification please request in writing to christina@airmedicalexperts.com a course completion certificate. CE hour content will be delineated on the certificate and can be uploaded to the BCCTPC website for application toward renewal of your FP-C or CCP-C certification.
Payment Policy
One day courses: Payment is required 10 days prior to the course date. All payments should be submitted online, if paid personally. If your department is sponsoring your attendance please email christina@airmedicalexperts.com and an invoice can be sent directly to your agency. Special pricing is available for agencies sending 10 or more providers, with the exception of the cadaver lab courses.
Multiple day courses (for 2024 courses): Payment is required 15 days prior to the first scheduled day of class. Payment plans are available for the Critical Care Paramedic Course in 4 installment plans. For payment plan students, your deposit for the course is required 15 days prior to the first scheduled day of class. All payments should be submitted online, if paid personally. If your department is sponsoring your attendance please email christina@airmedicalexperts.com and an invoice can be sent directly to your agency. Payment plans are not available to departments, and the full course fee must be paid 15 days or more before day 1 of class. If a student paying personally selects the payment plan, the final course payment is due 45 days prior to the last day of class (lecture). If payment in full is not received by the deadline, you can be dismissed from the class, without a refund and are still responsible to pay the complete course fee as agreed upon in your registration. If the complete course fee is not received by the last day of class then a late fee of $150 will be added to your account. If the balance continues to remain unpaid, after 30 days then a re-occurring late fee of $50 monthly + 10% of the total owed will be compounding monthly until the course fee is paid in full. If a balance is owed for over 90 days, AME retains the right to pursue collections and can forward your case to an attorney to collect the debt.
Refunds: If Air Medical Experts, LLC cancels a full course and does not offer a make up course day, a full refund is applied to the original payment method within 7 days of the canceled course (this does not refer to multiple day courses). One day courses: If a student withdraws from a course 30 days prior to the first scheduled day of class, a refund (minus a 20% administration fee) will be applied to the original form of payment. Less than 30 days prior to the course and refunds are not offered. Multiple day courses: If a student withdraws from a course 30 days prior to the first scheduled day of class, a refund (minus $190 administration fee) will be applied to the original form of payment. To get the complete refund all course materials and books need to be mailed to Air Medical Experts, LLC and must be in new condition. Mailing of the course materials is at the students expense. If the books are not returned or are returned not in new condition then $385 will be deducted from the refund amount. If a student withdraws from a course between 20-30 days prior to the first scheduled day of class, a refund of 30% will be applied to the original form of payment if the full tuition was paid. If the payment plan was selected the student would not be eligible for a refund of payment 1 or 2 ($950) but would be eligible for refund over $950 paid. If less than 2 payments were made, there is not a refund offered. If a student withdraws from a course within 20 days prior to the first scheduled day of class refunds are not offered. If course materials have been mailed to you for the Hybrid Critical Care Paramedic Course there is not a refund offered for those books and the cost is $385. Course deferral: If you register for a course and then need to defer enrollment AND you notify AME prior to 20 days before the start of the class, you can apply the submitted course fee to the next class for multiple day courses (defer fall course to the spring, etc) and for one day classes you can defer your registration to the next course being offered within the same 12 calendar months. For example: if you enrolled in a course to be held on March 20 and defer enrollment, you have until December 31 of the SAME year to utilize that course fee credit. Deferrals are subject to the courses scheduled by Air Medical Experts LLC during the year. If another course is not offered during that period and you deferred your course attendance, refunds are not offered. You would be eligible to attend the next program that AME does schedule. For deferrals outside of the calendar year, you are subject to incur the difference in charges from the year in which you enrolled in the course, to the course in which you would be attending. All deferral decisions acknowledge that refunds are not given, and you chose the deferral as your option instead. Additionally, if you are not able to attend the NEXT scheduled course (if no other dates are available in the calendar year) then you forfeit your course credit and are not eligible for a refund. For 2025 - course deferrals are not possible unless your are in the military and receive orders during the course. Payment policy exceptions: If you are in the military (active duty or reserve status) and you receive orders which make attending the course impractical, we will waive the refund policy and offer a full refund for the course, minus the $190 administration fee. This exception applies to courses which you have not yet started. If your orders arrive mid-program, we will transfer your course payment to the next available course you can attend.
