The Critical Care Exams (both for Paramedics and Nurses) requires an extensive knowledge of over 100 different medications. Additionally, it is important to know toxins with their presentation and antidotes. Air Medical Experts, LLC has developed a matching game that focuses on these key areas to assist with your success on the exam.

Why a matching game instead of just flashcards? Great question! Flashcards facilitate memorization of material and these exams INSTEAD require critical thinking in order to be successful. Using a matching game format helps to facilitate and build a pattern of critical thinking which is a strategic test preparation strategy.

The card kit includes the following:

• Medications to be matched with the indications, key concepts and dosing (and contraindications is present)

• Common toxins found on the exam and with critical care patients with the presentation and key factors of the toxin, matched with the antidote.

• Answer Key

How do you play?

• Using a large table surface, line up all the medications in a vertical line.

• Then match the cards which include the indications, key concepts, and dosing to each of the medications.

• The answer key will verify if you have matched the cards correctly.
