Attention Paramedics — New Hybrid Model Released
This course style incorporates online live instruction while still maintaining the interactive skills portion which students love about our courses. The model will be primarily online, LIVE education with interactive breakout groups and polls to keep class interesting.
We will also have 2 in-person skills days. The first skills day focus’ on skills for IABP, hemodynamics, ventilatory management, pediatric transport, central lines, chest tubes, advanced EKG interpretation, and heart and brain dissection.
The second in-person skills day is the difficult airway cadaver lab where we focus on all difficult airway assessment tools and advanced treatments, direct and video laryngoscopy, needle decompression, surgical and needle crics, chest tube insertion, pericardiocentesis, extra-glottic airways, RSI, and anatomy and physiology with the dissection of the thoracic organs.
The final in-person education day is the INTENSIVE review day, prior to the exam. The exam will be the following day, in-person, with the paper/pencil style exam of EITHER the FP-C or CCP-C exam / your choice as to which one you take.
Do you want to increase your knowledge base to become comfortable with the severely sick and injured patients? The patients that we don’t transport everyday, but when they come along you MUST be on your “A-game” to provide them with the best chance for a favorable outcome. Do you want to learn the latest evidenced based medicine and discover the small practice changes that will directly impact patient morbidity and mortality? This course covers the serious conditions that patients have requiring advanced knowledge and skills for transport.
The course fee is $1525 and includes:
--Airway cadaver lab and anatomy dissection
--A workbook with all handouts and course materials
--Exam fee for Flight Paramedic Certification (FP-C) or the Critical Care Paramedic Certification (CCP-C)

Attendance Requirement: We do NOT have an attendance requirement for this course, to be able to sit for the exam. We recommend 100% attendance, but we also acknowledge everyone has alot going on in their life and we work with you. We ask that if you miss a course day that you find a student in class to assist you with the missed material, then you and I will meet during a lunch (or two depending on the content missed), to make sure you are all squared away on the important content.
Pre-requisites: Current Paramedic, or Nurse certification are required with a recommended one year of experience. Recommend current certifications in CPR, ACLS, PALS OR PEPP. Please bring a copy of your certifications with you to first day of class. Paramedic certification must be current and in good standing to sit for the FP-C® or CCP-C® exam. Nurses without a Paramedic certification can arrange testing for the CFRN upon completion on your own. Your course fee will be $1350 due to waiving the testing fee as you must be a paramedic to sit for the FP-C® or CCP-C®. We do not offer the CCEMT-P exam at this course.
